haha, well i love the dress, and had decided i wanted to wear it, but couldn't find a plain vest in the right kind of colour to go underneath, hence the safety pin!
talking of pins, these brooch backs better turn up in this morning's post!!
daisy, sell the jeans u bought last week, and anything that doesn't make you feel good when you are able to wear it..keep the rest for when you can..
and yes, it's a day for making something pretty
lost - re: the packing, you sound like you have it all under control tbh..i'm impressed as my packing consists of getting up on the morning of travel, and cramming a few outfits into a bag..then leaving in a rush !0 -
Lost- your plan sounds good, I hate packing
PF- sold the jeans, just need to sort through the rest of my stuff, spurred on by my bedroom getting re-done in the next few months (parentals idea!) so need a good clear out! Might do some of that, some craft, and some study today

Well today I have attempted the layered tights look. Outfit consists of:
White vneck 3/4 sleeve top - M&S
Teal knit sweater dress - Dotty P
Teal tights - M&S
Chocolate brown fishnets - Evans
Brown leather heeled brogues with brown ribbon ties - New Look
Dull gold and orange crystal chandelier earrings - no idea where they're from
Dull gold wire bangle with small creamy yellow and tigers eye coloured beads and a central tigers eye coloured circular stone - charity shop, 50p!
I feel really happy with the way it all works together. Not entirely convinced by the white top under the dress but it's the only colour top in that style that was clean! The layered tights look fab and go so well with the brogues. I have struggled to find outfits to wear the brogues with so I'm chuffed I've finally got them on for once
And I very rarely wear any gold type jewellery so it's nice to have got it out of the jewellery box.
teabythesea - take care of yourself hun
lir - that sounds perfect and much better planned than my usual weekend away outfits. I tend to pile far too many (and usually impractical) clothes into much too big a bag and then regret it for the whole holiday!
Mariel & Vicky - I've added your blogs to my bookmarks
