No fixed menu ,just whatever there is ,ie :if I have made scones or muffins ,fairy cakes or flapjack ,some goes in along with whatever fruit we have ,a bit of veg (carrot and cue ,cherry toms )and a ham or cheese sarnieand sometimes a yoghurt if its not too warm.0

Oh I must be the worst mother in the world - lol. DD has nearly the same every day in her lunch box with the exception of the sandwich filling...
She has - carrot sticks and cucumber slices. Sandwich - either cheese or ham. Piece of fruit (which can vary) a yoghurt and a small carton of fresh orange.
I like this combination as it has 4 of her 5 a day in there. She goes to a childminder after school so she only needs another 1 for her to reach her 5...

pretty much the same as i do tbh - only minus the drink - the children are only allowed water at school and milk in the mornings.
I add in some home made cake or biscuit if i have it..... the children get confused with anything out of the ordinary i find :rotfl: and it is the sort of lunch they would have at home:rotfl:five children? I must be mad........ :rotfl:

My son will not be allowed to take squash, only water, pure juice and yoghurt drinks.
HTH
As a matter of interest why does the school ban squash yet allow fruit juice ? , undiluted fruit juice wrecks the enamal on teeth , and although i havent checked i would bet yoghurt drinks have added sugarVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
I wouldn't say I am organised but I have to have a plan as DD2 will only eat a very narrow range of sandwich fillings but at the same time if I give her the same thing day after day she goes off it and won't eat it anymore which compunds the problem. So far she will deign to eat
Chicken (preferably in a wrap)
Cheese and grated carrot with red onion mixed with a little mayonnaise. I used to do a mix of cheddar and red leicester with spring onions but apparanetly this is stinky (although she likes the taste)
Sliced cold sausages with a little bit of mustard
Bacon
Tuna occasionally
Pepperoni
She will also eat quiche occasionally but woe betide me if I do it more than 2x per month.
It's also no longer cool to take a flask with hot soup or chilli con carne
No ham, no sliced cheese, no salad, no mayonnaise
She's a right pain!!
Oh Lord, September looms!!It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -

Maybe they think that the additives don't do the children much good....we have squash at home so he will be fine with water at schoolThere are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0
