Help what to cook on a canal boat

My FIL lives on a canal boat and eats anything you can cook normally(all be it he has a microwave, cooker and fridge and freezer). He currently has DS1 staying with him and I got a phone call this evening to say when DS1 gets back can I start buying stea and ale fray bentos pies......all i can think is BLEURGH!! but you could do fish wrapped in a foil packet with a knob of butter and squeeze of lemon juice.Banana LoversBuy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning0
