Wow you guys know how to live :rotfl:
Seriously though, it's important to enjoy yourself now.
I'm in my 40's and there are people not much older than me who have died of natural cuases.
You do need to live a little, to enjoy yourself.
No point leaving all your enjoyment till your 80's as you might be dead or not have enough good health to enjoy it.
I think it's really important to have a balance between saving for the future, having contingency for a rainy day and enjoying yourself NOW.

Then you divorce and end off living bitter and alone in a cramped 1 bed flat on some depressing estate :rotfl:
ps, I'm not saying everyone living alone in a 1 bed flat is bitter pasturesFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

We have been lucky for the first time ever with money!! - on a C and G lifetime tracker at +0.5% so wonderful for us at the moment - I got a bit anal about overpaying this year, as it made such an impact on the balance, I wasn't going to go on hols, buy stuff etc, but then realised I did actually want a break after working hard all year, so compromised on a 1 week hols, bit cheaper than normal though!
It is great to see my/our (post divorce) mortgage going in the right direction (down) for once, but had to rein myself in that I didn't become silly about it - and remembered to enjoy ourselves too - compromise, a bit of everything, sensible but fun I say (wish I could apply the same principles to the diet!!!)
I do feel for those on fixed and SVR's - hope they get decent deals in the future too and some luck too.
For now, we are enjoying the boost, until the rates climb, then who knows?!?0
