Quick Advice RE Car please...

Hi all,

I am on the edge of declaring myself bankrupt and just have another quick question -

Following my husbands bankruptcy his parents have lent us a car (owned and insured by them but runnng and maintenance paid by us)

Do i need to declare this to the official receiver and if so will they have a claim on the car - I dont really want the inlaws to lose out on this!!

Thanks in advance for your help

Mrs Fruit.

If you drive it and are on the insurance then yes you need to mention that you have use of a car. Its so that you can account for your share of the running costs in your SOA.

The OR is not able to take a car from you that does not belong to you.

If you do not drive it at all and you are not on the insurance then it doesn't matter one iota.
