Freezer burnt chicken

I've had a whole chicken in the freezer for a few months now, I bought them as a pack of 2 from Costco, and very nice it was too, but we all got sick of roast chicken dinners, plus with the warm weather it's not that appealing. Anyways, I had a look at it today and it's got a horrible texture too it now, I think it's freezer burnt.

Is this still edible? I don't want to cook it if it will taste nasty, as whilst it's thrifty not to throw it out, the electricity I'd use cooking it would cost a lot, esp if it was unedible! I have an electric cooker so takes forever to heat up, and it's a big bird, I think over 2kg so will take a fair while in the oven!

So eat it or throw?
:D
