Hi All,

I have recently gone to apply for a mortgage and been declined on the basis of bad credit score. Gone in and checked my credit file and found I have had 7 missed mortgage payments on my credit file. I was told when I asked that I could have the payment break as I had enough equity in my property to do so. So I did!

I am now finding that the mortgage company is side stepping now and saying that they never said such a thing and that I was in arrears.

What I wanted to know was is there anyone on here who has enough knowledge on financial and human rights laws. I know that this is indirect descrimination but I don't know how to follow it on. I basically want to stand up against the RBOS bank. It's really time people started to fight the banks and stop them from doing this to people.

There must be a way of getting them to remove the data. Experian are about as much use as a wet blanket and have said that they will not remove the data because the lender says it's correct. I, like so many others have been duped by the one account and I have to say it is really off.

Something doesn't sound right here! dig out your paperwork saying you were entitled to payment holidays in your mortgage agreement, then couple that with the paperwork at the time saying you'd agreed a holiday with your lender.

Put the two together and take them to your bank (or send copies via registered mail), and ask them to sort it out!

They can't turn round and deny something which you have in writing from them
