New Mortgage alongside existing BTL

I was just wondering if anybody could help shed some light on my situation.
I purchased my first house on my own nearly 3 years ago, 12 months ago i moved back in with my parents and let my house out, changing the mortgage to a BTL.
I am now looking to buy another house with my girlfriend, who still lives at home, we have only just started to look into this. We would have a reasonable deposit between us, at least 15%, we both with a decent credit history and we are pretty much debt free, i occaisionally dip into the overdraft.
I was wondering how my exisiting mortgage would affect any new applications we might make?
Many Thanks
