Super Chuffed !! £1000 paid off cc today

Hi,
Am away on business in the US so no-one to talk to and had to share this with someone! My remortage (at the end of old deal) went through this week and the £1000 cash back from Northern Rock arrived in my account this morning. I have avoided the urge to splurge and paid it off my CC by internet banking straight away. Very Very Pleased!!!
Means this card is now down from £2250 (in Jan 06) to just £710 !
Thanks for listening - if I could (without getting arrested) I'd run around the hotel carpark naked!
Cheered me right up!

That's fantastic & well done for resisting temptation too! :T
What's the time where you are? If it's the middle of the night you could still do a mini streak though the carpark!
Go on you know you want to! Or as a compromise, do a streak round your hotel corridor instead - just make sure you don't get lost and bring your keys with you!

Well done! It's not easy is it? I got paid an unexpected bonus and holiday pay this month and I wanted to go and blow it on shoes and boots and having a good time... but I was strong and it went to pay off a credit card!

    Well done again...

    Thanks for the message.
Unfortunately it's now 10.40 am and broad daylight. Maybe shoudl have done some more sit ups before considering inflicting my naked body on US citizens. Coudl get deported - quicker way to get home !

    Just me again.
Feeling all buoyed up after £1000 paid off I actually took the plunge and added up all ccs and loans for first time (have been concentrating on paying off ccs first and then targeting loans). Got quite depressed as it came to nearly 15K! Knew it was about thta much but seeing in on a calculator is a diffrent thing.
Your posts cheered me up again - at least it's not 16K anymore.
Will try to pay off another £200 by the end of this pay month.
    Thanks again
Might just do a topless streak now instead. :rotfl:

Well done, 15k is significantly less than 16k and a lot nearer to 10k and once you get under 10k i should think thats a massive pyschological barrier to pass. So well done girl, youre well on your way to getting there.

    Thats fanatstic :T

Not only the amount you paid of but the real success is that you resisted to spend a penny and put it all towards the CC payment.

    I say streak :D

It's raining now and so far have resisted the urge to streak.
    May be liberating though!
