Bill Payment Dates - don't know if this will help anyone

but doing the bills this morning - well working out when the last possible date for paying them more like! - it struck me that I often forgot about weekends and bank holidays.
So what I've done is to put on the statement the date that I have to pay them by in red ink rather than look at the date that the payment has to be made by...thus reducing the chances of getting a late payment charge. (yes I know their considered to be illegal but prevention is always better then cure!)

What i do is as soon as I get the bill I book the payment I am going to make on internet banking for the date it should leave my account so it cannot be overlooked. If I find that I cannot pay that amount or can pay off more then it is easy enough to change. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
