I realise this is a silly question but...
Assuming my credit rating is fine how can I roughly estimate what kind of motgage I could get?
Someone suggested that most conservative would be 'salary x 3.5'
Is that true?
I just want a rough idea whether it's even woth considering getting one or not.

go to the lenders sites ... most have a mortgage calulators where you can feed in your details and they will say what they will lend you0

Oh, I thought you have to fill in your personal details to get quotes and that can affect your credit rating...0
