Afternoon all, hope everyone is well.

Esmecullen, in response to your question on yesterday's thread, we're off to San Francisco and then heading down the coast to Monterey for a couple of weeks, including a stop off in the middle of Big Sur for some R&R. I'm so excited I can't even tell you - I've spent a lot of time in the States before but never California. First holiday in over three years!
I'm slightly nervous about driving in San Francisco however... it's been a few years since I drove in the States, and I've never navigated a major city. Oh well. I'm sure after trying to drive through central London San Francisco will be a breeze!"I'm not a one-trick pony. I'm not a ten-trick pony. I'm a whole field of ponies - and they're all literally running towards this job."

Oh amazing! never drove that route before usually internal flights from here to there!
You will love California!! And I'm sure that you will be ok on the roads, just remember to drive on the other side:rotfl:total airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0 -

Yes, that's the main difference isn't it. Turning right on red is the other big one. Actually I don't really know what I'm worrying about - on the whole, driving in the USA is a lot easier than driving in the UK or Europe!Nice outfit OrangeProse:)

Thank you Glowgirl
Well done on your medal. I'd be happy too! 'Fan' is a much nicer word than 'stalwart' anyway."I'm not a one-trick pony. I'm not a ten-trick pony. I'm a whole field of ponies - and they're all literally running towards this job."

Well!
Took a brief time-out on my travels this morning to pop into a chazza shop (or 3) locally. The place is a small town with a single long High Streer, used to be really thriving and a reasonably affluent area, but rather faded and lost it's identity for many years now. Has still however managed to hang on to the old fashioned fishmonger, butcher and greengrocer. A row of charity shops in the centre 4 or 5 all within 100m of each other....so fertile hunting ground for fashion bargains!!
Anyway, as I came out of Help the Aged (!!!!) to go to my car, who did I come face to face with????
A film crew and Mary Portas!
Bit worried as the Tesco linen skirt was well creased by now and the lippy had worn off.....but sadly my 5 mins of fame eluded me this time as she was filming in front of the fishmongers!! She was all in black, with tight trousers tucked into black knee high boots, which looked slightly strange in this weather, but she is as assertive-looking a figure in reality as she is on TV!!
Enough excitement for today, back to work!
WOW, how exciting!! i've been scouring the chazza shops today as well. Did really well, got a fab wrap dress from new look and a pair of jeans, outta interest where are these chazza shops??.....i need to know:p

Having a general clear out and tidy today, so outfit is definitely designed for practicality today.
Black tshirt (Tesco's current sale, £2)
Black cropped Nike workout trousers (£5-ish TK Maxx)
bare feet
I got my Nailsinc free nail varnish this morning, with an extra one that I wasn't expecting, so I have one foot painted with China Town and the other with Mayfair Mews. Must remember to make sure I'm only wearing one colour tomorrow for work!0
