Hi.
I've been seperated from my wife for about 8 years, but never got a divorce. We bought a house when we first got together, she lived in this for about 2 years. It is in my name and her name is not on anything to do with it. After she left i carried on paying into an endowment for about 2 years. I then cashed this in and payed her half. Now 8 years down the line because it has got a bit of value in it, she is after some of this money. She is apparently getting a divorce now, and bringing this up. We only didnt get a divorce because we couldnt afford to pay for one. Can anyone please tell me how i stand in this.
Thanks for any advise.

You need a good solicitor to negotiate a final break financial settlement that is fair to all parties.
In may not be nice, but it has to be done.
I would suggest you try to find proof that you paid her half the endowment proceeds.0
