hi there,
As i understand it, i think it depends on the agreement you made with the insolvency service.
When I went bankrupt i was asked ot make a contribution of 50 quid a month or what ever I could afford which was all drawn up and formal. I then ended up taking a lesser paid job and explained this to them. They cancelled the payments and never asked for anything after that. I was discharged 2 months later and I haven't heard from them since so I think it depends.
They did state that to me tho when I went bankrupt, that for as long as the contribution agreement was in place(at that time 3years), regardless of being discharged, they would still like me to keep them informed of my status etc. Nothings changed with me and they haven;t chased it and that was nearly 4 years ago.On the Keyboard of Life - Always Keep a finger poised over the Esc Key! :rotfl:0 -
If you have an IPA agreement in place then you are obliged to tell the OR of any change in circumstances untill the 36 months are up. If you had no IPA in place upon discharge then no you do not have to contact the OR about your affairs at all, you are now free and can do what you wish.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Yep - no IPA then you don't need to inform them of anything.
If you do have an IPA then it will most certainly be lowered if income is lowered.
