Would love to do one of these but there are sooooooo many to choose from online! And really don't want to get ripped off..! Has anyone done one before or know of a good one? TIA!

why are you wanting to do it?
to pass the time, for the sake of it or to go and teach somewhere? Do you want to do the course here or abroad?
Generally speaking an online course will be ok for the first 2 reasons, but if you want to teach properly you have to attend a college somewhere to get face to face time with a class. You just cant learn that skill online.
One of the most recognised is the CELTA. In theory any centre giving the CELTA should have the same quality as any other. Another is the Trinity Certificate. They are 4 weeks long ( full time ) and if you do them properly there is a lot of work involved. Anything less than 100 hours class time the odds are they wont be recognised by good schools.
Google those two and you will get lots of hits, with a CELTA and a degree you can work pretty much anywhere in the world. I could give you another 3/4 pages of info but thats enough to get started!2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0 -
Hello thevicster
I'll move your thread to the 'Employment, Jobseekng & Training' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Many thanks for that...that's given me a great heads up for what I should be looking for. I've already got an English and History degree so it's great to know that it will be an advantage!
