Littlewoods

Right hi guys

Didnt have the foggiest where to put this so mods move where ever you like.

My grandad has had my cousin living with him for a few years even though he is bleeding him dry. A few months back he went on the internet and ordered a mobile phone on contract in my grandads name. He found out about that when he got a letter from them. I told him to phone up and get the mobile blocked and tell them what happened. He did, and got it sorted out. I also told him to go to the police but he didnt

now my grandad was round today and has told me that my cousin has gon online again and opend a littlewoods catalogue account in his name, ordered some expencive football boots and not told him, he has again found out through a letter, he has tried phoning them up to tell them whats happened, and they dont belive him (I can fully see their point)

I have told him to go the police again, but because it is his grandson he wont, plus he doesnt want all the agro, so he just brushed it off.

Any ideas of what he can do about this, he has hardly any money as my cousin has slowly ate his way through his savings. The idea of going to the police is clear in my head but as he isnt keen on this I would like to try and find a way round it.

Thanks :)

without going to the police, not many. although aren't you meant to sign a credit agreement and send it back to open an account?

No I think there is a box or something that you have to tick in lue of a signiture, probably just another way of getting the credit flowing faster

I would suggest a chat with the CAB if they write to littlewoods on GF's behalf they may take it a bit more seriously ?

He also has to think about ways of not letting it happen again, there alot of catalogue companies out there

Cant suggest anything for this situation. But could he not set up further checks like those who have been victims a I.D, Fraud have to go through? Would/ Could stop it in the future

There isnt really much way of stopping him unless he changes bank details but because the lazy sod wont get a job and stay in it, he has his JSA payed into it.

    CAB is a good option.

Think I might post it in DT as well see if I get any other ideas there
