You would be better posting this on the benefits board. But I believe because she walked out, she will have to wait for up to 26 weeks.
What sort of shop is it, i.e is it a chain, is he the owner? If he is not the owner then she should complain to the Area Manager. Unfortunately we all come across rude people at work, giving up is not the answer.Life is too short to drink bad wine!0 -
I wouldnt let him get away with that.
If its a chain, contact his area manager.
If its not go and ki - no no no, i am not going to go there.
If its not go and give the nasty bully a taste of his own medicine and give him a bollocking in front of lots of customers.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Interesting! Benefits wise if this has stressed her out she might be better off claiming ESA first and then JSA as ESA does not have any sanctions for leaving work, Saying that its a bu**er to get due to the goverment cracking down on sick claims
She could still claim JSA, this boss of hers has just railroaded his way through a load of employment laws so it will be interesting to hear what he says IF the job centre ask him, he may not want to incriminate himself. If the shop is a large chain then speak to their HR dept who no doubt will be interested.
Why not get some legal advice about the way she was sacked, often your Insurance company or Trade Union will run a free legal advice line? The World come on.....0 -

To reply to your question provided your daughter is over 18 she can make a claim to jsa. She needs to be available and actively seeking work. She will need to complete forms to explain the reasons why she left her job and this information will be sent to a decision maker who will decide if she has good cause for leaving her job. They can then sanction her benfit for up to 26 weeks if they feel she gave up her job without good reason. There is no waiting period to making the claim.0
