Bit of Help Needed re: cc/loan

Hi

Got my self into a little bit of a pickle with my over draft. I need to get it cleared before my OH sees it. I have been slowly clearing it but he has constantly been querying me about balance. I know i should be honest but believe me it isnt worth the hastle as i loaned some money to a friend in need who he hasnt got much time for.

It is only a small amount but is there a loan or Credit card i can take out to clear it (and then pay off that slowly as i have been doing my overdraft) but i dont want card/statments coming to my home address.

Any advice would be great thanks

My advice- don't do it. The interest rates on CC's or a loan will probably be higher than the interest rate you are paying on the overdraft. That will mean it costs you more and takes you longer to clear it. Also, it is possible you will the accrue mored debt on your overdraft and then have debt on your CCas well!

'fess up to your OH but explain what you are doing to clear it off and when you expect it to be done. It's really not the end of the world... he'll get over it! :D (you could always say you spent it on shoes! instead of loan to your friend)

You should also get your friend to pay you back. even if it's only £5 a month..

Tell him to mind his own business. Why does he want to know your balance? If all your household bills are paid up, what's his issue?
