Gone part time - help with new routine?

Hello guys

As from the new school term I will no longer be working full time :jand shall be working 10-2pm each day. My usual routine is to fly out of the house at 7.45am with small person in tow and stumble back in at around 6pm exhausted and not wanting to do anything in relation to house work!

Does anyone else work roughly these hours? What jobs could I do before I leave in the morning to make life easier?

I tend to get up at 6.30am and will be leaving at 8.45am.

I'll be back home for 2.45pm then back out at 3pm then back home for 3.30pm!

Sorry if it sounds odd but you ladies (and men) seem to have it all off to a tee!

Thanks!

When i went out in the morning at 9am ,this was my routine
Put on a wash load first thing so it has time to finish so you can hang it out before going out
Put on slow cooker if using
Clear up the devastation that was breakfast/pack up making ,load dishwasher
    Walk dogs
Shove 100% limescale remover down the loos so it has time to work with noone there
    Think that was it

See I wouldn't have thought of all that - except the slow cooker (i love my SC I do :D). I'm not used to having the spare time, and I want to make the most of it so our weekends can be freed up!

The bottom line is, it took a lot of convincing my OH for me to go part time - one of my arguments (apart from being with our DS more) was "just think how beautiful the house will always look!" , now I'm thinking "!!!!!!, I better pull my finger out!".....

If you want the house to look fantastic, try working out some sort of plan to 'spring' clean each room in turn (one a week) and a maintenance programme for the others. Similarly a cupboard a week (or more if you feel like it) helps get rid of stuff and makes you feel good. If you do all your clearing/cleaning this way during the week then weekend can be freed up. Oh and don't forget to go food shopping straight from school or do internet shop from home.

    Forgot ironing mid-week too!
