Financial Disassociation - some help please
Hi
This is my first post, so please be kind.
I am thinking of applying for a loan for a newer car, so I want to get the best rate possible. However, I think I need to financially disassociate myself from my girlfirend first.
We do live together at the same address, and did have a joint loan, which came to an end last month. We don't share any bank accounts, or mortgage (that's in my sole name) and don't have other shared loans. I have had a look at the form on experian's website but it asks for an explaination for not ticking the "not living at the same address" box (which we do!).
What can I say, that won't get refused. We do not depend on each other, and have our own incomes. It's just that she has some missed payments froma while ago, which I think will bu**er up my application. She also agrees with me, and wants the link broken.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Can't you just say that you guys are not linked financially ie no joint credit/ loans/ mortgage in both of your names. How about that you support yourselves and not each other.
Personally, I think you have covered all angles in your first post.
Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
If you make a sole application in your own name then a lender will decide on your credit scoring rather than your girlfriend's.0
