What can you do with £5000?

Just a question based around a project I am doing right now...
If I were to give you £5000 and you had a week to make as much more money from it as possible - how would you go about doing it?
The obvious answer would be to gamble it and hope for the best but I'm looking for other suggestions.
Be risky, adventurous, insane or sensible. All ideas appreciated.

I'd buy 2 cockatoos, and hope they became good friends. Then, I'd handrear the babies and sell em! (Assuming I didn't get too attached to them and end up owning hundreds of cockatoos. Which is very likely)Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
