What can you do with £5000?

Just a question based around a project I am doing right now...

If I were to give you £5000 and you had a week to make as much more money from it as possible - how would you go about doing it?

The obvious answer would be to gamble it and hope for the best but I'm looking for other suggestions.

Be risky, adventurous, insane or sensible. All ideas appreciated.

I would pay off my hjoliday, get ahead of the bills but continue to make smaller monthly payments. Get the rest of the decorating done. Do my driving lessons and get a new car.

Sorry if thats not adveturous, but thats what I would do

Hmmm. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. Sorry - original post edited.

I want ideas that will generate more money from the initial £5000. So what would you do to make the most amount of money from £5000 in a week?

I'd buy 2 cockatoos, and hope they became good friends. Then, I'd handrear the babies and sell em! (Assuming I didn't get too attached to them and end up owning hundreds of cockatoos. Which is very likely)

Put it into a savings account and lie back as the £3 profit comes rolling in?

As a serious suggestion, how about shares? Is worth looking into?

On a jokey note, I would put it all in Premium Bonds, govt only make £600,000,000!!!
