Hi, I've a big pack of mushrooms that need using up can anyone give me some good ideas? Especially ones which will freeze (Can I freeze raw mushrooms on their own?).
I'm cooking a gammon joint later so will make a pie with some, but we are out all day tommorow at a theme park and I don't think the mushrooms will be up to much by wednesday evening, lol!
I have one veggie and three eat -pretty -much -everythingers and 4 so fussy we may as well ignore them :rotfl:
The amount I have is one of the big basics packs, less a handful.

Slice them, saute them in a little butter or oil, cool and freeze in portions. They freeze much better sauteed and they don't take up as much room.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

By the way Lakeland do a cloth Mushroom Bag that stops them from going slimy. The mushrooms keep quite a lot longer than normal.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

I noticed you've already frozen them but I cook mine first as they are REALLY soggy when defrosted and they are raw.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife Louise Brooks
