farmfoods are £1 for a 4 pint carton of milk.

if you have 2 full freezers then it should be a doddle

and orange or apple juice is 50p a litre (2 for £1) in farmfoods too.

If I were you I would do my absolute best to eat only from storecupboards/freezer/garden throughout September and keep doing it to get yourself back on an even keel.

Thanks for your suggestions, yes I have been mealplanning and yes our freezers (yes that is correct we have 2!) are full to bursting, we have a chest freezer in the shed that is full, loads of fish, meat, quorn veg etc, my freezer in the kitchen is the same and I have a walk in pantry that is full

It's amazing how much food we hoard; I am at present awaiting a new Large Fridge & Large Freezer (goody all the more space to hoard food).
I have emptied the freezer part of my old Fridge Freezer (replacing because it no longer self defrosts and hasn't for a long time causing ice to build up behind the back of the freezer), put all the contents into a single freezer which I didn't think was that big.
Other than some fresh fruit, vegetables & milk I haven't really shopped for three weeks, and the freezer is still 2/3 full.
My food bill this month is almost none existent.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.

If you have two freezers then you can kill 3 birds with one stone:

    - set out to religiously eat something from the freezer every day from now on
    - aim to achieve a completely empty freezer by the time you get paid in your new job
    - get ready for Xmas

If you can eat up stuff in your freezers by 30 September, then you can completely clean one of them out and fully defrost it - then defrost the other one. You then have two nicely cleaned and defrosted freezers, one of which is completely empty .... meaning you can designate that as your "Xmas freezer" and start filling it with stuff for Xmas.

    Don't kill any more birds.
The freezer is already full of them.
