Just got back from court

Hi all
Firstly A big thank you for all the help and good luck messages I have had, thanks guy's.

Just go back from what was a very quick court interview, I got there ten mins early, spoke to a nice lady who went through my forms and handed over payment, Within half an hour I was called into a court room, more like a small office really, nothing like you se on tv lol,
sat down, spoke for five mins if that and It was done, back to see the lady again, who sorted out documents, spoke to or for ten mins who checked my details, contact number and arranged telephone interview.
All round a heck of a lot easyer than I though so anybody going, dont worry.

I know i still have the or to talk to but if anything like this morning is to go by it should be nice and easy and nothing to worry about.

I have one question, What do I do now as regards to people i owe money to or any letters I get? do I tell them I am now bankrupt?

Thanks again everyone, onwards and upwards

John

if anyone rings you then just quote your BR number and give them your OR's number.
you dont have to tell your creditors the OR does that. although if you were getting lots of hassle some people send a copy of thier BR order to creditors as it can take a few weeks for the OR to inform people.

entirely up to you, but well done and welcome to the club - im 4 months in now and the relief is lovely. im even managing for the first time in years to save:D it may only be a small amount but its savings none the less

Congrats mr john, glad it went smoothly. Went BR yesterday also and today called my OR's office to ask about informing creditors. The clerk I spoke to said I could send a copy of the BR order (not the original!) but that she personally wouldn't bother, as many creditors don't believe you anyway. She said the OR will inform them all within a few weeks anyway.

I have however started answering my phone again and have informed two creditors that called, I simply gave them the OR's name and phone number.
