Depends on if you want to make it (egg yolk and yogurt, cheap, messy but effective) or buy it: coconut oil or indian goosberry oil cheap and widely available (you only need a tabelspoon depending on hair length, apply at least a couple of hours before washing hair).

I love Aussie 3 minute reconstructor :) and you can get sachets that are only 99p too.

I use dove - slather it on your damp hair then wrap it in clingfilm and cover with a towel. Leave this for half hour or so and then rinse and dry naturally.

This tip was given by a hairdressing lecturer. Alternatively - contact your local college and see if they offer an intensive conditioner treatment. The salon ones are brilliant!

Make sure you local college offers hairdressing as a course first!

The ones I have tried are James Brown and Philip Kingsly both were rubbish and certainly not worth the money imo.

I use Tresemee (can't spell) but always pick it up cheaply from costco. I've got no idea how much it costs in normal shops I'm afraid. I've got mad dry hair and psorises and it's fine for me.
  • Work out the cost of the Paul Mitchell per use. Mine always lasts for ages. However if i'm a bit broke I go for the Aussie 3 minute. Normally buy it on offer. The sachet lasts me 3 or 4 washes so great for holidays.

I have dark, glossy hair which I attribute to my Olive Oil Instensive conditioners.

I heat a small cup of oilive oil in the microwave until it's hot to the touch then work through all of my hair. I soak a hair towel under the hot, hot shower, wring it out then wrap it around my hair. Once it cools, I do the same again. I leave the oil on for as long as possible, sometimes a whole day if I have time and am at home.

I then wash twice in the shower with good shampoo (don't use conditioner after the oil) and allow my hair to dry naturally. It's the best thing I could have done for my hair and I always get hairdressers saying how beautiful my hair is.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.
