Hi,
Sorry if i am being a bit dim or short sighted but was wondering if there is a sticky or thread anywhere for people who have PCOS?
I thought it may be on the low carb diet one as that is a popular diet for people who have the condition or perhaps the trying to concieve?
If there is such discussions etc i would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction
Many Thanks,

I'm a PCOS girl too. I'm on the low carb thread-but falling off the wagon frequently.
If there isn't a thread you could start your own one. Here's my tuppence worth!
Diagnosed about 4 months ago. On metformin 2x a day -which isn't helping my weight but strangely helps my mood. Low carb/GL diet -lost a few pounds but its a real struggle. Really should excercise as that is supposed to help but far too lazy!

Another PCOS girl here - not doing low carb as such - more low fat. Had metformin but didn't really help me so I stopped it. Weightloss is hard for me (and going slowly) but it does improve with exercise, its just that fitting the amount of exercise into my life is difficult.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Not much we can say, as its a medical condition and could be taken as medical advice.
My endocrinologiest said GI diet is the way to go for most people. (in fact a nutritionalist has writting a book about GI and PCOS but can't remember what its called). My opinion is we justdo whatever works for us but accept we need even less than most dieters in the way of fuel and have to do even more.
I find mentstrual pain significantly worse in months when I have lost quit e bit of weight. My endocrinologist said this is normal, and will reduce once weight is lower and more stable.0 -
