It all depends on what you eat.....!
Personally I would (if I had the room) go to a farm shop/butcher and ask about getting half a lamb/pig jointed up (they'll cut you joints/steaks/chops) and freeze it. I'd also stock up on any BOGOFs at the supermarket that you use for cleaning, toiletries etc. Pet food/litter if you have animals. Any whoopsies in the supermarket that you can freeze. Tinned food if you have room to store them.
Have you also thought about using some of the money to buy a new kitchen gadget, eg slowcooker or breadmaker etc, I've just bought a breadmaker and I love it and it will save me money in the long run, slow cookers are good for batch cooking food which can then be portioned up and frozen suck as curries, stews, chilli's, bolognese etc

I would think about what you can use in the next few months when buying freezer stuff as I made the mistake of buying too much and not rotating the freezer stuff and the bottom items had to be chucked!
You cant go wrong stocking up on tins, toilet paper, juice, pasta, packets things like dishwasher tablets and washing powder that might be on offer, cleaners etc as well.0 -
I always stock up on the following tins:
Heinz Spaghetti
Chopped tomatoes
Heinz Tomato soup
Kidney beans
Baked beans
Various tinned fruit

Try the farm shop/local butcher for mince, ours charges £5 for 5lb (farm shop), it's much better quality than supermarket meat

I would spend £100 now, but keep the other £100 seperate to spend as and when you see good buys, whether these are just good offers or whoopsies.Val.0

Brilliant idea! I'd also spend at least £50 on wine .... I know it sounds a bit mad as it's only August, but you could spend some on things to put away for Xmas? I would say alcohol again, but depends what your willpower is like. :rotfl:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

You can buy a bag of already sliced frozen peppers from Sainsbury's already for 75p. PERFECT for cooking and very labour saving.0
