Sorry to ask but its about freeview

Probably not the right place to ask this, but I bought a freeview box yesterday in the sales. I managed to tune in most channels but (I live in Cardiff, Wales) can't seem to get ITV 1, 2 & 3 or Channel 4. Everything I've read on the internet confirms S4C replaces channel 4 in position 4, but channel 4 should then be in position 8 (hope that made sense!!). Can anyone help me!!!!? Anyone else got freeview in south wales??

Currys have a Packard Bell Refurbished box for £29.99.

i got my mum one of the Parkard Bell ones for Christmas and it's not a bad unit. Twin scart as well, some of the smaller ones only have 1 so you need another arial cable if you want to record off them.
