This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

    Evening all

After last week's red I am going to try for £20 again this week. Fingers crossed I come in under this as I am going to try and save as much as possible to blow at the weekend when I am in Edinburgh.

I hope all you budgeteers are having a fandabidosy weekend although it is rather wet in Glasvegas but I am on holiday 3 weeks today so it isn't all bad.:j

  • I am new to DFW so haven't joined a challenge before.

Open to new ideas though so I will try for £15 budget this week to see how it goes :o

    Happy Humpday Budgeteers,

Just a quick update from me. Monday I got persuaded to go to the pub afterwork. Three and a half hours later I was £10 lighter and slightly sozzled. So yesterday I needed munchies so put £5 on my card at work. Total so far £15 I can see green fading before my eyes.

Hope you are all doing better than me.

  • Morning all,

£8.94 spent for me, got DS's friend a birthday present for his party on Saturday, got the kids some chocolate for tomorrow and got DH some Nytol.

Total spends so far this week: £9.73, this will change though as off to the Science Museum tomorrow but aiming for a very low spend day.
