any ideas why I have been sent my property deeds without clearing my mortgage?!
Mistake? I thought you only got these once you cleared your mortgage?

Lot of lenders are clearing out as title deeds information is now online, the storage of the deeds is very expensive for them and takes up a lot of room, and I suspect that is why your lender has now sent you the deeds.I am a Mortgage Adviser

These are the old deeds. Your ownership of your property is registered at the Land Registry and is called a title information document. Therefore all other deeds are sent back to the owner by most lenders/solicitors. You should keep them safe as they will be needed when you sell your property.
Check out the Land Registry website it explains it all.:j0 -

They seem to have a habit of doing that with important documents these days :rolleyes:I am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
