RIGHT TO BUY MORTGAGE which lenders help ?

Im Looking for some advice

I want to buy my flat from the housing assosciation as i will get a %44 discount which means i could get it for around 16k - 20k but would like 30k for improvements and so i could buy a newer car also.

I have no debt and my alfa 156 is paid off. I have looked and enquired about some of the right to but schemes advertised on tv and internet etc... but i dont want to use them because they charge a fortune just for doing the legwork and would rather get my own lawyer or a first time buyer mortgage or something like that.

The flat will be worth alot more than what i borrow before i even get it all done up so it shouldnt be a problem getting a mortgage from someone reasonable for less than the house is actually valued at.

Just Wanting any advice on the best peple to try....!!!! (((*_*)))RIGHT TO BUY MORTGAGE which lenders help ?

    There are a lot of lender that will allow you the ability for a Right to Buy mortgage.

    Which one suits will depend on your circumstances, and requirements for the mortgage - one requirement you state is that you will need more than the discounted price, so this will take some lenders out of the frame.

    I think it would be worthwhile for you to chat with a whole of market mortgage adviser and rightly do not go to the firms you see on the TV as you hgave seen the fees they charge claiming they have specialist knowledge are excessive

    Thanks for the quick response wasnt expecting one so soon.

    Do you think its best for me to go around some of the more popular mortgage lenders, by emailing them about my interest on the right to to buy..?

    Would most mortgage lenders include solicitor fees or should i find my own...?

    Any other tips as this is my first time trying for a mortgage.

  • my circumstances at the moment are that im a nursing student almost qualified, i also work through an agancy doing nursing so my monthly income is roughly £2200 a month min.

    I was offered a mortgage by a company then realised they dont offer a right to buy policy.

    You cvan go direct to the lenders, however by going via a whole of market adviser, you wil lhave the one point of contact to the whole market.

    The choice is yours - just make sure that if you do go direct the lenders you speak to do not all carry out credit checks aganist your name.

    There are a handful of schemes that cover legal fees for FTB however the rates are not that competitive and I think you would be better served going on a recommendation for a conveyancer.
