I need a little help for a friend who is going to petition.
Although it's extremely unlikely to happen - she is genuine and needn't have any concerns - but she is worried about the possibility of a BRO. I suggested if it did happen she may agree to a BRU.
Lets say that she is given a 12 month B/R.
If I BRO or BRU is put in place does this extend her bankruptcy - in other words she doesn't get discharged until after the BRO/BRU.
Or will she be discharged but still have the "restrictions"
Again many thanks.

Or will she be discharged but still have the "restrictions" Yep IF she's in receipt of a BRO/BRU then your still discharged at 12mnths but still under restrictions till the BRO ends
Again many thanks.
Hope that helps a bitWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Thanks so much.
Out of interest - if an OR decides to extend a Bankruptcy - what would the process be?0 -
The only way bankruptcy can be extended is if someone wont co-operate with the OR's office....
you'd still be discharged at 12mnths even if your in receipt of a BRO

Again thank you.
So - I can reassure my friend - and hopefully everyone else - providing you cooperate with the OR - you will only ever be made B/R for 12 months.
The worst that can happen is a BRO or BRU.
Someone did mention to my friend - that if you had previously been made B/R within 5 years - your new B/R would be for 3 years.
This doesn't apply to her - she has never been made or made herself B/R before.
As you can tell by my posts she is extremely worried about the whole thing which is why I want to be able to reassure her.
And thanks to all your help - get her answers to any possible problems.0 -
No, if you have been BR before then the OR will generally look deeper into your affairs and impose a BRO.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

She'll be so relieved to know that her B/R will be over with in 12 months.
Thanks again0 -
Why does she think she'll get a BRO - we may be able to ease her worry?

I can't see why she would ever get one - because there really is no reason why she should.
It's just that she wants to know the "worst" that could ever happen.
And fortunately with all the help from the forum - I am able to tell her everything she could possibly want to know.0
