Not a bad effort, cliched and predictable, but up to standard.

It's this which really gets to me. Where else should they have bought chucky? A nice victorian detached?

They had little choice unless they wished to rent for what they saw as the rest of their lives.

maybe - there are less expensive areas with victorian terraces than buying in Chelsea with views over the Thames.
they had a choice but decided to go for the 'better looking option' that's a bad decision whatever you'd like to call it.

they could have gone a few miles out without living in Central London.

That's a bit unfair. I would like to think I'm pretty sympathetic to anyone in financial difficulty, but at the end of the day they chose to buy the property.
It was a one liner without much thought. I have sent you a bunch of flowers and a personal note of apology.

It takes time to decide which one of his half wit ID's to deploy. Like a game of chess played by the UK's only surviving brain donor.

You won't have that prob with me mate, I've only got one half-wit ID:D

    How's the PHD coming btw?;)

Lol. They could've stayed at home with Mum and Dad too. Chucky you're in real danger here, you are deviating from your affordability script. Quick - deploy the Pickles joker.

That madness wasn't just in London. How ab out a couple of flats costing £1.2 million and £1.5 million where the average salary is just £20k and there are no high paid jobs

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/find.html?locationIdentifier=OUTCODE%5E2679&minPrice=1000000&maxPrice=1500000&displayPropertyType=flats&oldDisplayPropertyType=flats&includeSSTC=true&_includeSSTC=on

Yes, land of "where the bankers used to go at weekends".
