I'm worried....

It's a long story but I'm pretty sure it's gonna look really bad for me.
Things started going downhill for me after I had my 2nd child in Oct 07. I suffered post natal depression and then by Christmas became very ill and couldn't seem to shake it off. In June 08 I found out I was expecting another baby and shortly after that was diagnosed with ME. My husband and I had accumulating debts but had always managed to meet at least the minimum repayments.
Anyway... the bad bit. I was pretty much falling apart, tried to go back to work and failed miserably & my husband and I decided to separate in Aug 08. I had always organised the finances and had an idea that we would both have to file for bankruptcy if we separated. Neither of us could cope with it at the time so we decided to set up a joint DMP through CCCS to keep creditors at bay. I was hoping that we would get back together and then resume normal paments. However the separation wasn't as temporary as I thought and in between I suffered a pelvic diastasis and couldn't walk at all. All this and 3 babies to care for... the rubbish DMP was the last thing on my mind.
However now we are back together but my husband has lost his job so we have to go bankrupt anyway.
The plus side to my husband being unemployed is that he is here to take care of our 3 babies so I have managed to get things organised again and have a better idea of our position. The only trouble is I am now really scared that this is going to look really bad for us when we go BR.
Hoping for reassurance but mostly just honesty (even if you agree that it is bad)

Hi and welcome! Everything you've said above looks like life! Nothing to be worried about. You haven't done anything wrong so don't feel guilty either.
Congratulations that you are both back together.

The only thing I'm really worried about is that the DMP was not accurate in the slightest. I just threw a few figures into the income and expenditure to get creditors off our backs for a while. Now I feel really stupid for not taking it more seriously at the time but there was so much going on I couldn't deal with it properly on top of everything else. I'm worried that we will end up getting a longer BR term because of it.0

It really, honestly doesn't matter. If asked, then you tell the insolvency service exactly what you have just said re your DMP. You have not displayed the slightest behaviour that would warrant you receiving a restriction order.

Thanks guys. It really does make me feel a bit better about it all with your comments. I'm still really nervous about the whole process but it's given me a little more positivity.
