Majorca car hire share

Bit of a long shot i know but would anybody going to Majorca on the 13th September for a week be interested in sharing the cost of a hire car?

Can you get bargains for a 4 day car hire at Gatwick airport.....

I would have thought this would be littered with problems. For kick off, you're going to need someone to be staying in the same resort as you otherwise its going to be nightmare getting the car, secondly and most importantly, if the car is hired in your name then you are resp for it. What happens if the other party damage or even just scratch it, then perhaps even deny they did it?

I thought we can each have the car for approx 3 days each and the other driver would be named on the insurance.

Funny enough we are going for a week on that date - to Cala D'or. Don't think we could share a car as will probly need for the full week but the cheapest I found was through https://www.doyouspain.com worked out at 170 euros for the week - book now (to secure rate) and pay with credit card on pick up, that's for a Citroen C2 - cheapest! Last year only paid about £100 but apparently prices have really soared over the year and most of the sites I checked were looking over £200!! Hope you enjoy your break - what resort you headed for?
