Does Tesco.com accept paypal prepaid credit card?

I miss not being able to shop at Tesco.com so was going to apply for a prepaid paypal credit card but just wanted to check first that it will be accepted by Tesco?

Not necessarily, I know Ocado don't.

Tesco's didnt take my pre-pay card when I tried a few weeks ago......some PAYG mobile operators wont either

I got a PayPal card and it didn't work anywhere that didn't take Electron (despite it being advised as accepted everywhere Visa is accepted). As Tesco does not currently accept Electron online, I'm guess the PayPal card won't work either.

One poster said he paid his tesco online shopping with an electron this week. Maybe its worth having another go. If you do, will you please come back and let us know.

I have used my paypal prepay card for tesco online grocery shopping a couple of times recently and not had any problems.

Interesting, it will certainly work in store, it might not work on-line as the card number is actually an electron card number even although it says debit. But if someone got it to work for grocery shopping again Tesco could have updated their system to accept it. Maybe all of the complaints about Electron and Co-op are making them move.

I tried my Electron card today and it still says that it doesn't accept them!

Well, I forgot that my sister had a paypal prepaid card so i got her to use it on tesco.com for me and it worked!!!!! I can't wait for mine to arrive now so i can finally shop online again!! She said that it is a great card esp since you can load it for free from your paypal account!
