  • Hi - I'm not an expert here but I think you should seek legal advice - or at the very least speak to the Citizens Advice Bureau.

I don't think a company can tell you they are looking to get rid of you for "gross misconduct" until you have had a full and fair disciplinary hearing. If they have "decided" before the disciplinary (which it sounds like from your posts) that they want to throw gross misconduct at you then I believe they are actually in breach of some law or other.

Please don't take my word for it as I really am not an expert, but I definitely think you chould check this out. The CAB should be able to help you.

    Good luck.

I know 2 people who have done this, both of which are now employed at the same company.

they just left out the last employer. and i think when one was asked he said he'd been made redundant.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
