hi :)
Has anyone had any experience of Palmers Scar Serum?
I've got some scarring on my face from an accident as a kid and also from spots. I did try bio oil but I found it too greasy and didn't do anything for my bad skin :(

I've seen it but as it's £10 I would like some opinions before buying if possible

Thanks :)

I have used the Boots Expert Scar Serum, and find it very good. However I only used it on a new scar where I had a mole removed from my leg, so I don't know if would work on old scars. You do have to use it for a few months but it isn't very expensive and is often on 3 for 2.

i found it very thick and hard to rub in and it smelt horrible, prefer bio oil.

I have used 2 different products with great results.

I have a small scar from an operation in January. I started using Bio-oil as soon as the wound had healed. Now, it is a very faint, slightly purple scar. It's been like this for about 3 months now. Bio-oil worked very quickly, and even though it comes out greasy, once it's on your skin you don't notice it at all.

For my stretch marks, I used Palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks (not the serum!) I've been using this for years now, and they have all been reduced to silvery lines that you can only see in some lights. I found this very good, although they took much longer to fade than my scar did with the Bio-oil.

If you're looking for quick results, I'd go with Bio-oil, but they both work great, and aren't particularly greasy either.
  • I may try again with bio oil then, I suppose I'm just a bit paranoid about putting something "greasy" on my face:confused:
