Loan and Go....steer clear

I recently was trying to raise some funds for our small business to buy some equipment. Because of poor credit history and not being able to retrieve any small business funding we landed in to the hands of a company called 'Loan and Go' who are based in Brentwood. During this time it was sheer desperation (we are now dissolving the company and going into partnership elsewhere) and Loan and Go seemed to have the answer. We were accepted for a loan and then recieved a form to sign for our application and pay a administration payment of £49. Although suspicious (but desperate) we promptly did this and sent it off. We then realised after weeks of waiting that nothing was happening. I tried calling their number and either it was engaged or went into a '1571' answerphone(very odd for a business I thought). I emailed them and did recieve a response saying that the application was with a lender and we should recieve the forms. A week later, two weeks later (wrote again, same response), three weeks later.....so I contacted them again saying I wanted my money back (which I now believe was to 'hook' me into Mrs Cashback a 'sister company'). It has now been a further two weeks since I put my request for a refund in writing and a further email and I have heard nothing. Yes, we have been fools...but we needed to save our business and this was (we thought) the only way. It has been a nightmare. After the intitial application, I have had over 200 (yes, I counted) emails, text messages and phone calls from all these dodgy companies. Please be aware of this. Dont make the same mistake we did. Loan and Go and Cash Finance Direct (CFD) (premium rate calls).
