other uses for dishwasing tablets

i got sent some dishwasher tablets recently - but have no dishwasher

someone mentioned about putting them in the toilet cistern to keep the toillet fresh

any other uses for dishwasher tablets ?

Crumble one into a sink full of hot water and leave overnight. Nice clean sink ! but fill it as high as poss otherwise you get a "tide mark" !

I use them for cleaning my kitchen blinds (plastic) dissolve a couple in a bath of hot water, soak blinds, I use an old bottle brush to give them a scrub. Then hang on washing line to dry.

colleague at work does this to clean her mug but i thought it would be a waste of tablet for one small item, when it'll do a whole load in a dishwasher. she does this once a fortnight and leaves it overnight to do its magic... but then spends an age rinsing it out as it's so concentrated! waste of energy or wot?!!:rotfl:
