HELLLLLLP Bridesmaids dresses arghhh...

I'm really stuck.

I have 6 bridesmaids, they will be aged 16, 13, 12, 11, 10 and 8. The men are wearing brown (very dark) suits, cravat and hankie, ivory shirt and gold (ish) waistcoat. Im in ivory.

These are the dresses i've picked: forever yours style : 76215 - cannot do links sorry :( the 3 older will be in the adult one (in the middle) and the 3 younger ones in the far right one, with spaghetti straps. My dilema, the woman in the shop thinks the brown might be too much - with the 7 boys in brown too, so suggested that i have 3 in brown with taupe sash, and 3 in taupe dress with brown sash. or 2 and 4, what you guys think.

My wedding venue is themed as brown and gold, e.g flowers, balloons, chair sashes etc etc

Sorry for the long life story!!

I think the taupe dress with brown sash would be lovely too. Why not put 2 0r 4 in taupe & the others in the brown? I'd do it so they're in same colour pairs to process with you - iykwim?!

2 and 4 will be good for the aisle as ill have them in pairs, but the photos would maybe look better equal? 3 and 3.....

Not necessarily. If you're aiming for "balanced" looking groups, pairs would be better; i.e. 2 + 4 (for example; one brown, one taupe, one brown on each side of the group pic). Probably makes sense to have the two eldest in the contrast as "chiefs" - one grown-up (ish) on each side to keep an eye on the younger ones.

Bear in mind, though, which girls will want to stay together. From a snapper's viewpoint, it's tricky if you want them arranged just-so but they have different ideas!

But it's your wedding. There are no rules; enjoy!

erm.....if you want them in brown then have them in brown :)
the sash will break it up anyway, and the gold waistcoats that the men are wearing will break it up too....i think it will look lovely :)

but equally if your worried about it then 2 and 4 would look lovely too

I think the pic is a bit sneaky, it's got a brown background, when you think your girls will have diff coloured hair, be surrounded by diff coulers, grass, sky etc...the pics will look balanced if you go with your original plan....you'll be in these pics and def not brown!
Any of the options will make you look like a group, i wouldn't worry to much there's positives to all, go with the less stressfull/cheapest option cause i think they'll be equaly good looking
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
