Mortgage application include benefits?

My partner and I are considering moving house but my partner is currently unemployed and claiming JSA.
My question is will the mortgage provider consider benefits such as JSA and Tax Credits as part of our annual income?

Some will, some won't.
Some will take certain benefits and exclude others.
I'd suggest you see a whole of market broker to establish the best way forwards.0 -
JSA won't, tax credits may be depending on lender. Is it really a great time to be moving house if your partner isn't working?0

do you already have a mortgage?0 -
HSBC allowed us to take into account child benefit and child tax credit but I had to provide evidence greater than just a bank statement to prove we were getting that amount.0

JSA is not a guaranteed benefit. It isn't like child tax credit or child benefit. Again wait until your situation improves.I am a Mortgage Adviser
