Abbey Mortgage Valuation

Is anyone else experiencing delay in Abbey instructing Valuation? How long does it take after Valuation for an Offer to be made or received? Is the Valuation the last stage in the process or can more information be requested at this stage? Any information will be appreciated!

I know Abeey have got a lot of work on at present

Us. We put in our application about 3 weeks ago. Told our broker they were going to instruct the surveyor this week, then came back and said they wanted our latest payslips and bank statements as the ones we had given them were out of date (yes, because of the time it had taken for them to process the mortgage). Broker has said they are very busy and it is difficult to get them on the phone. We are still waiting....

Our valuation with Abbey was done about 5 days after our first application and then the offer was sent out the beginning of the following week, so guess 10days from start to finish.

I applied 2 weeks ago through a MA and not heard anything yet

The Abbey are a nightmare at the moment as they have had such competitive rates and cannot currently cope. It does seem to depend on which reason you are in as to how they are coping but hang on in there, they are getting offers out all be it frustraiting.
