Just got back from Croydon (7pm sitting). Big thanks to Money_Maker_Shaker for posting the original post :A :T - we'd never been to Wagamama's before, but it was really lovely...we'll certainly be going back!!

P.S. I have to admit, I sat there looking round trying to work out who out of our fellow diners were other MSErs!!!

Yes, I've got an invite to Leeds too - and we can take our kids with us and they'll "fit them in somehow"!!
Thanks, OP.
Mel.Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

Wow, really enjoyed Croydon on Tuesday. Fantastic food, fantastic ingredients cooked to perfection! Great atmosphere, serving staff were lovely.
I went with my sister and we had sooooo much to eat.
Wanted to say hi to the nice man and his lady sitting next to us, by the wall. We were the ones who overheard you mentioning MSE, and I said I wouldn't ask you what your username was. My sister was the large lady. We shared our main courses in the middle of the table and dripped soup onto the paper mats and talked loudly and laughed a lot. You had the same dishes we did, deep fried prawns, duck and leek dumplings, the steak in the noodle soup thing, and the king prawn green curry.
We were inspired to try the veggie juice that the lady with you had. Delish!
Well, we'll certainly go back, and we've both told about a million people how good it was. Possibly not a moneysaving trip in the longterm, lol, but worth it to have discovered somewhere to eat that I REALLY like. It's probably pretty reasonably priced if you have one main course from the cheaper end of the menu and drink tapwater, actually. The portions are pretty big, and the quality of the food is so good, even I couldn't object to the price. We both found a main and a sidedish a bit too much.
Anyone who's going to the next one, do what my sister and I did. Share everything. We even shared some of our drinks. You get two each! We had a Japanese beer to start with, and afterwards we had a small flask of saki between us, (one person's drink), which came out to 4 small cupfuls, 2 each, and one of the very delicious fruit and veggie smoothies. Surprisingly delicious! Orange, apple, carrot, tomato and cucumber juices. JUST sweet enough to be fruit rather than vegetable, very light and refreshing, with the merest hint of mint, I think, like a very healthy pimms.
I think I should offer my services to Wagamamma to do their publicity! lol
Thanks very much to the OP on this. One of the best freebies I've ever had, if not THE best!
