Bump! If I did not have such a strong Italian accent I'd volunteer, but I am afraid nobody would understand what I say! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

I've chaged the initial post to make it clear it is the Tonight Programme not a programme on tonight.
ALso just to say things like "not being in my own house" aren't a problem as it can be filmed at another location if necessary. AS for "im not that experienced" well you can always use some of the other tips from here as a rep of the Old Style community
lol nothing like trying to butter us up and persuade us eh Martin?????Nonny mouse and Proud!!
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!!

I appeared on Martin's programs last year. I did a bit about homemade cosmetics and then talked about hen keeping on a different episode. It was great fun and the team were lovely.
We were then fortunate enough to be invited to be in the audience and meet Martin who was absolutey lovely and really interested in our moneysaving ways so I'd say go for it people.
For me the thing that stands out is how my dad has reacted. He taped the three episodes I was in and everytime he gets visitors they have to sit and watch me while he says 'That is my daughter, i'm so proud of her' I think it made his year bless him.
Can't wait to watch the next lot of programs. I've done my bit so someone else can have a go lol!0 -

BUMP!
I'm afraid I won't be volunteering - I reckon it'd be a whole heap of hassle with the wheelchair - but I hope we'll get the heads-up when it's due to be broadcast.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Surely it would be great for other people to see that being in a wheelchair doesn't stop you from being able to do the OS thing? You should be proud of your achievements!0 -
Bump! I have volunteered but told them about my accent and that my family does not want to appear on TV. I spoke with DH yesterday and he has no objection for me to do it but would not want to be filmed himself! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
