Yeah but look out for balance transfer charges. They are not meant to charge you this if you request the transfer when you first take out the card but the policy is applied inconsistently. Of the MBNA cards Virgin is probably the one you will have the least problems with. Even then no guarentees.
Also consider the LLoyds TSB Advance card simply because it gives 0% for 12 months. However never use this card for purchases as it has a nasty catch. You might find the credit limit they give you a touch on the low side too.
HSBC is another 9 month interest free card worth looking at. There is a thread about it on this board.
Finally consider any card which gives you 0% and can be got via points sites such as RPoints which give you anything up to £18 for applying for a card through them. Also check for any freebies. In the past I have benefited from a crate of wine from Virgin and a free holiday from First Direct just for letting me abuse their credit cards!0 -
Do you have any other credit cards? If the Halifax is not the "One" card, you could transfer your balance to another of your cards short term, upgrade your Halifax card to the "One" card and get 0% on BTs for 9 months. Then transfer back from your other card. Saves having to apply for an entirely new card.currently with Halifax0
