I have a couple of questions, Is your house in negative equity? also if you had no debt could you afford the mortgage repayments?

Thank you so very much for your kind words.
My mortgage is up to date, that's one thing I've always ensured is paid.
I have £130k mortgage, house would probably sell for approx £160k, so, thankfully no negative equity.
As I say though, it's only perceived money as it's not in my bank account!!!
Unfortunately, we can't get a second top up mortgage to pay off the trustee as, even with the house valued at £185k, no company wants to touch us. I could get £12k from relatives though.
I have no interest in the alleged equity in the house, there was none a few years ago anyway and I'm just so glad that my trustee relinquished his interest in the house at the start of the TD. I just want to be able to hold my head up and not be spoken about behind my back.
Just received a call from my solicitor's secretary! She says that the trustees solicitor can't get in contact with them and so will be looking to postpone (or some legal word) the hearing tomorrow until a later date so he can get instructions. I can now have a worry free weekend - what a relief!!!!!! Thank you all so very much for your support! I think a wee chat with my solicitor will be in order on Monday to ensure he progresses this before the next hearing rather than leaving it to the last minute!!!:T0 -

Glad that they have been in touch and you can now enjoy your weekend and your birthday!!
Sorry that i cant offer any advise on the TD situation having never experienced it personally. But National Debtline (Scotland) have a good website that you could have a look through and also the advisors are on the other end of a telephone and offer excellent advise! and have the knowledge to help guide you in the right direction.
Feel free to post or PM if you need support / advise
Have a great birthday and i wish you all the best!
