We have a wedding to attend and the evening reception is at the Pitchers Restaurant at Foyle Golf Club, Culmore. We don't know that neck of the woods very well and are looking for recommendations for somewhere to stop overnight.

Da Vinci's hotel is probably the nearest hotel (2 - 3 miles away) but it would still be taxi ride. You could check and see if there are any b&b's guesthouses in culmore area. The border village of Muff isn't too far away from there either. (2-3 miles in other direction).0

The Waterfoot hotel is in the Waterside just over the Foyle Bridge, about 4 miles from Pitchers. It has recently been refurbished and just re-opened in July. They seem to have some good deals on at the minute. HTH

Just be careful about walking about the place at night - get a taxi organised (put some nos on your mobile) AND the City Hotel rooms are tiny and outside is like Beirut on a bad night - can be noisy (Travelodge is also in this area). Check out trip advisor and book somewhere else! I heard the Waterfoot has just reopened, free safer parking too...0

Thank you for the tips.
I went on to both sites for Da Vincis and The Waterfoot hotel. Both are lovely but we got a better deal through Booking.com for Da Vinci's so we are staying there. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
