It's worth bearing in mind that plasma TV's consume up to 500W (about 7 or 8 times as much as a crt one), just what the doctor ordered for environmentally friendly viewing on a hot summers day.
Some LCD TV's don't display fast moving images very well, as they have a longer response time.0 -
if quality of the image is what your looking for,
LCD has the sharpest picture quality between the two.
if you or your kids etc tend to watch tv channels with logo's on the e.g.top corner for a long time such as kids channel Nickelodian, with a orange logo in the corner, this tends to leave a ghost image behind on the top corner when your watching other channels.
this is because plasma screens are made with gas inside them. the logo leaves a print behing because the gas hasnt moved, this will only occure with long useage of the same channels, i.e. with logo on them.
it also isnt recommended playing games on a plasma screen for long durations because of the fast moving graphics and colours.
LCD has good potential to do well in the coming future!0 -
