    Nobody needs a £15k car.
If they deserve it they would have the money to pay for it, and would not be scrabbling around looking for a sub prime loan.

    hardly.

for all you know he could have saved the world, would he not deserve it then?

if you dont have anything useful to add.......

    no need my friend!

as before, if you havent got anything useful to add then why bother?

Saying that it would be worth peanuts after they've finished paying for it is definitely a useful point to make. Why do you want to pay double the cars initial value in extortionate interest, only for it to depreciate and be worth nothing at the end of it.

OP should wait until he/she has reasonable credit when the defaults drop off, then take out a normal loan at an average rate, or buy one outright by saving for a few months. it's not rocket science, and it's not me being high and mighty, it's just sense.
    Vanquis- Limit £1250, balance £0
Capital One Classic- Limit £800, balance £0
Natwest Current Account- £800 OD limit, approx £600 OD
Loan- £3300, will be paid off by Dec 09
Student Loan- paid off Dec 09 (That's £150 a month extra! Woohoo)
Empire Catalogue Account- £750 limit, balance £30

bbelt, three posts on this thread and you have had nothing useful to say. Take your own advice and don't post if you have nothing useful to add.

OP (and regret70), there is 99.99% chance that you will simply lose £60 and have no loan at the end of it.
    Save your cash.
A big clue is when someone goes out of their way to contact YOU. Nobody will do that for your benefit, only to make money from you.

hold on before everyone has a go at each other!!!

i have 2 defaults yes, but the reason for 1 is the company exposed my debt to a third party several years ago! this put me in a state of depression(lost my job, on tablets, embarassment etc etc)
tried to sort this out with them but got bullied and harassed.
built myself a clean life since, no credit or loans or bank accounts etc in 5 years , good job .
all advice is useful on these sites but everyone should be given the benefit of the doubt

Sorry mdes but the reasons behind you defaults are no-ones concern but your own.

    A default is a default...period

If they are 6yrs old, they are soon about to drop off your credit history so it may be worth holding on for a while.

The sentiments above are still valid, NEVER pay an up front fee for a loan.
They WILL take the money and you will never hear from them again, even if you do, it will not be the calls you are expecting.

There must be a thousand posts on here about broker fees.... NOT ONE of them positive.
